Opened in 2001 by Steve Port and Dave Elsner, Misty Mountain Games is dedicated to serving Madison's tabletop gaming community. Misty Mountain quickly became known for hosting large, well-organized tournaments and events that brought in players from across the state. These tournaments helped shape the store into a true community hub, where friendships were made across game tables.
Misty Mountain has grown with its community moving into a larger and more accessible location and running events for a variety of games. We now offer a diverse selection of games and accessories and host a large in-store play space, designed to support both casual players and competitive gamers alike.
Brian Kowal (BK) became the owner of Misty Mountain Games in 2017. A fan of the store from the very beginning, he made it a personal goal to make Misty Mountain into the ultimate gaming space in Madison for community and inclusiveness. After nearly 25 years, our mission remains the same: share our love of tabletop gaming, support our community, and provide a welcoming space where everyone from new players to seasoned veterans feel at home.
